“PLUNDERING THE COAST”
Since long before the days when Pirate Jean Lafitte sailed out of Barataria just to the west and plundered the Gulf waters, until today, Biloxi has been a destination for travelers. Having had eight flags flown over Biloxi since it’s founding in 1699, this year the ninth flag will be the H.O.G. flag. So check your charts and set your destination for Biloxi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Whether your course is on the highways or byways, there are plenty of roads to fit your style of riding. Maybe you prefer sunset rides along the 26 mile beachfront on US 90 to country roads through the pines, either way there are miles and miles of roads to discover. Biloxi and the Gulf Coast are full of history and are just waiting for you to ride and explore.
The rally committee is busy planning for rides, games, entertainment and a parade. On Friday evening, Mississippi Coast Harley Davidson will be your party host.
One of the treasures of the area is our seafood and since most H.O.G. riders have been known to ride to eat, you won’t be disappointed. If night life is more your style, the lights will still be on when the rally finishes for the day. With Las Vegas style casinos, the gaming and night life is going on around the clock, and who knows, maybe you will leave with a chest full of treasure.
But whatever treasure you seek to plunder from Biloxi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it’s just waiting for you to come and find it. And remember that for the 2009 Mississippi State H.O.G. Rally, X marks the spot in BILOXI.
